This is Week 1 of my Marathon Training. I am going to incorporate some walking time, instead of having 4 days of running each week. I want to make sure that once I hit my walk interval that I'm not slowing down to much. So my walk day will be to work on keeping my walk pace where it will need to be.
This week I will start Monday off with a walking day. All other weeks, Monday will be a scheduled rest day. Since I just finished driving back from Florida, I want to use tomorrow as a warm up day for my legs after sitting behind the wheel the past couple days.
Equipment
If anyone knows of a really good Brooks shoe sale in the next couple of months, please let me know! I'm going to need at least 1 new pair of shoes during this training, plus have a decent broken in pair for the main event next January!
I PLAN on keeping this up to date, using it as my run journal for my Marathon training.

Hope this week is going well for you. It looks like a good plan and I like that you are exchanging one run day for a walk day. Believe it or not you use different leg muscles walking so it's a good break while still getting benefits!
